Targeted Advertising

This section explains Shopboom’s online advertising practices.

As mentioned above, we use “cookies” and other similar monitoring technologies (including scripts, pixel tags, graphic images and web beacons) on the Platform. Cookies are small text files that your browser installs on your computer or other device which allow the Website to recognize you during your visit. Some cookies are required for the Platform operation or to help us recognize you, especially when you log in to your account. We collect this information to help us analyze the performance of the Platform, remember your preferences, track your usage and tailor ads to you. We also have third-party service providers, such as Google Analytics, that use third-party cookies or other digital markers to maintain and improve the Platform and our Services, and to provide advertising based on your interests on the Platform and other websites.

What is interest-based advertising?

Shopboom uses several tools, including interest-based advertising services, to help us and our marketing partners tailor advertising to what we believe to be most useful and relevant to you. We tailor and customize these ads according to your interests based on information derived from your activities, such as the actions you take when you visit the Platform, or when you visit websites that display Shopboom ads.

What is tailored social media advertising?

Shopboom works with third-party social media platforms, such as Facebook, to display tailored advertising. To offer such advertisements, we may convert your email address, phone number or other contact information provided by you into a single value to be linked to your social media profile by our partners, such as Facebook or other social media platform. While Shopboom does not provide personal information to these platforms, they may gain information about individuals who respond to the advertisements we display. Please visit Facebook for information on Facebook’s advertising and privacy policies at: https://www.facebook.com/about/privacy/
